My name is Mike, I’m a single dad from Manchester, UK. I’ve spent most of my life working various retail and hospitality jobs but my real passion is storytelling. Stories are a kind of magick. They can take you to other worlds and times, or teach you things about yourself and what’s right. One of my earliest memories is my Dad reading Lord of the Rings to me in my Nana’s caravan while the rain drummed on the roof and from that story I learned about the corrupting influence of power, the importance of pity and empathy, that even the strongest men feel pain and sadness and that even the smallest of us can make the biggest difference to the world.

These days I create stories of my own through a number of mediums. I love to draw, and paint Dungeons and Dragons miniatures that are used in the games I play in and host. I write stories and reviews, poetry and lyrics and play the bass guitar (passably) as well. Most of my time is spent either between work, or in nature/at home with my boys Jaxon, who is nearly 5, and Bandit, who is a 9 month old puppy (but is bigger than an American bulldog). We also have Boots who lives with us; She’s a trash Goblin disguised as a cat that followed me home one night 7 years ago.
